4.6.22: Fred Grewe and the Value of Existential Distress

I really enjoyed Dr. Fred Grewe’s lecture on existential distress. Thought provoking to discuss the value of this type of distress in patients with life limiting conditions. Over the past fifteen years as a hospital / hospice chaplain he has travelled with about 3,000 folks who were dying, and the most significant issue encountered in these patients causing distress is a loss of meaning at life’s end. This workshop is a presentation combining the learning from these inspiring people and studies from my doctoral degree on how to address existential distress at life’s end. The presentation will utilize storytelling, and reflection from the current literature. Click on the picture above to watch the presentation.
