
Excited to hear from Dr. Rebecca Gagne-Henderson again. I was able to meet Rebecca in Columbia, SC where she was our closing keynote lecture for the SC HAPC Conference just over a month ago. She’ll join the Virtual Grand Rounds to discuss the Physiology of Dehydration and Starvation.
Dr. Rebecca Gagne-Henderson is a nurse practitioner with a PhD in palliative research from the International Observatory on End-of-Life Care at Lancaster University in the UK. She has 29 years of experience in Palliative and Hospice Care. She has worked as a RN Case Manager, and has been a Director and Administrator in hospice. She has started two inpatient palliative care consultation services for Long Beach Memorial Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital on the Saint Raphael Campus. She is now a blogger, researcher, consultant and educator in hospice and palliative care and has founded the Connecticut Hospice and Palliative Care Organization which concentrates on approaching palliative care from a community and public health perspective.
