Improv and Palliative Care

We are excited for a new calendar year and bringing some excellent content to the group. We have changed the series for simplicity’s sake to the first and third Thursdays of each month from 12:00-1:00 EST.  This year is starting off on the right foot with educator, mentor, communicator extraordinaire Dr. Katie Neuendorf, the reigning winner of AAHPM’s Award for Excellence in Education and Training and a long-time supporter of this series. She’s going to talk about improv and communication in palliative care.

To get the most out of this session, Dr. Neuendorf would appreciate having volunteers that can be on camera and off mute. She will supply you with very clear and easy instructions to follow. If you agree to be a volunteer, you will be speaking for a maximum of 90 seconds. There are 2-3 games she’d like to play with the audience and would appreciate a minimum of 6 volunteers. If we get more than 6, then we’ll see what we can do. Sign up to volunteer here.

Want to give a lecture to this group, or know someone who may? Sign up here for a lecture in the winter/spring of 2025!

Don’t forget to register for the SC Hospice and Palliative Care Conference on March 7th, 2025! The full agenda is available on our registration page. SC is a great place to visit in March!

As I mentioned, HAPC Virtual Didactics has gained 501c(3) status! If you want to donate to support the program, you can do so here. The series will always free for everyone, but it does cost to keep it going!

As always, please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think would be interested in attending!
