So many palliative care providers have questions asked of them about transplant. Maybe we’re helping walk a family through this difficult decision, maybe we’re told that transplant is not an option. For those of us who do not work at a hospital that performs transplants, the entire process can feel like a “black box” – the patient travels there, is approved, denied, placed on a list or not, and then returns to you.
