Join us as Paul Galchutt, MDiv, MPH, BCC discusses the challenges of chaplain’s clinical documentation in his talk entitled “The Palliative Chaplain’s Clinical Note: Focus Group Findings and Forays Forward.” Paul has been an advocate for palliative care chaplaincy though his work with Transforming Chaplaincy. Along with being a 2023 Cambia Sojourns Scholar, he is currently enrolled in the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s palliative care PhD program. His objectives are:
- Describe what is known concerning how chaplain clinical notes are evaluated.
- Identify key findings from palliative interprofessional (non-chaplain) focus groups.
- Explore research implications for the path forward for chaplain practice change.
