Caring for LGBTQ Older Adults

Our best lecture series continues on December 4th with a lecture on caring for LGBTQ Older Adults. I was fortunate to hear Dr. Moone give this presentation at the Social Work Hospice and Palliative Network (SWHPN) Conference in his home town of Minneapolis earlier this year and I am excited for you to hear it as well!

Our presenter, Rajean Moone, PHD, served as the Executive Director of Training to Serve, a nonprofit organization designed to train aging service providers on the unique needs of LGBTQ older adults. Rajean has co-convened the Gerontological Society of America’s Rainbow Research Group and published extensively on LGBTQ aging. He is currently the Faculty Director for Long Term Care Administration and Associate Director for Policy in the Center for Healthy Aging and Innovation at the University of Minnesota.
