Join us as Gabrielle Langmann, MD, MSMedEd discusses the updated to the landscape of hospice and palliative care literature and how we should think about it. Gab has been a willing collaborator over the years and spearheaded an excellent poster on stimulant use at end of life, presented at AAHPM 2025. Trained at Pittsburgh and practicing in Utah, she’s a perennial student and teacher. She is also continuing her education as a registered yoga teacher, a hat she wears as a volunteer instructor at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital Wellness and Integrative Health Center and at the bedside with her patients. Her objectives are:
- Discover novel medications and novel applications of older medications for treatment of pain in patients with serious illness.
- Describe the roles of interdisciplinary team members in the management of non-pain symptoms (e.g., fatigue, insomnia) related to serious illness.
- Apply principles of evidence-based medicine to critique the quality of literature and its potential impact on practice.
If you are interested in communication surrounding our Hospice and Palliative Care Bootcamp in July (12 lectures over a course of three weeks, totally free of charge), respond to this email or add your name to the attendee list here.
