
Join us as Kelvin Lou discusses culturally sensitive care for the Chinese community. Dr. Kelvin Lou completed his Internal Medicine and Palliative care training at UBC and now works as a Palliative Care doctor in BC, Canada. His interests include the intersection between serious illness conversation and culture, as well as narrative medicine. His objectives are:
- Explain the role that Confucian concepts influence health care communication
- How to reframe health care decisions through the lens of filial piety
- Apply Indirect Communication strategies
