Culturally Sensitive Care for the Chinese Community (and Beyond!)

Join us as Kelvin Lou discusses culturally sensitive care for the Chinese community.  Dr. Kelvin Lou completed his Internal Medicine and Palliative care training at UBC and now works as a Palliative Care doctor in BC, Canada. His interests include the intersection between serious illness conversation and culture, as well as narrative medicine. His objectives are:

  • Explain the role that Confucian concepts influence health care communication
  • How to reframe health care decisions through the lens of filial piety
  • Apply Indirect Communication strategies

If you are interested in communication surrounding our Hospice and Palliative Care Bootcamp in July (12 lectures over a course of three weeks, totally free of charge), respond to this email or add your name to the attendee list here.
