Suzetrigine in Palliative Care

Our best lecture series continues next Thursday with a lecture on suzetrigine and its role in palliative care. For those of you who attended MAPPIT yesterday, we heard a fascinating case presentation on this medication and a situation where it was quite helpful – as well as some pitfalls with the approval and financial aspects.

Our presenter, Michael Matthews MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Section of Palliative Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before going on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He has specific interests in advanced symptom management and communication skill education and has previously presented at AAHPM!
