Palliative Care in Oncology

Very excited to welcome Dr. Kristina Newport to the virtual didactics. She is the chief of palliative care and an associate professor of medicine at Penn State. Additionally, she is founder of Oncologist in my Pocket, a training program for palliative care clinicians to provide upstream care to patients with cancer. This program began as a workshop at the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Annual Assembly from 2017 to 2019 and is now an independent educational program attracting participants from around the United States.
