Psychotherapy for everyday Palliative Care

We are so incredibly fortunate to have an amazing group of folks discuss Psychotherapy Insights and Techniques for Everyday Palliative Care Practice on Thursday, October 19th at 12:00 EST. This group spans two coasts and is passionate about advancing mental health training for palliative care providers, echoing the call we received from Susan Block at her Assembly keynote lecture in Montreal. Forward this lecture widely!

The PalliPsych Collaborative was founded in 2021 by a multi-institutional group of palliative care providers who all have additional background training in psychiatry or psychodynamic psychology.  Today’s speakers are the 4 founding members:  Dr. Keri Brenner at Stanford, Dr. Danielle Chammas at UCSF, Dr. Leah Rosenberg at Massachusetts General Hospital and Dr. Dan Shalev at Cornell. The PalliPsych mission is to contribute to the greater field of palliative care by integrating high yield knowledge and skills from psychiatry and psychology through education, training, research, and scholarship. The PalliPsych Collaborative has published multiple articles.  In 2023 alone, they have given ten Grand Rounds presentations at major academic medical centers throughout the country.
